The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its new and returning board members for the 2017/2018 term. This year, the Chamber is excited to welcome three new members to its board of directors. Keith Pistell, manager at Canadian Tire; Laurie Shambrook, financial advisor with Septen Financial; and Daniel Kooman, filmmaker with Unveil Studios. All three incoming directors are leaders in their industry, with a wide range of backgrounds and experience.
“The Chamber is thrilled to welcome three new faces to the board with their years of experience and wisdom. The board looks forward to working with these individuals and having a fresh perspective for our exciting future plans for the Chamber,” said Dianne Hawkins, Comox Valley Chamber president and CEO. “Board members are leaders in the community and as we refresh the board for the next fiscal it’s important to us to keep the composition of the board well-rounded and unique to other boards in the Comox Valley.”
The Chamber expresses its gratitude and thanks to outgoing board members Chrissie Bowker (Comox Valley Record) and Adil Amlani (Sure Copy). A special thanks goes to past chair, Andrew Gower (Wedler Engineering) who led the strategic planning of the Chamber and was instrumental in implementing policy. Andrew continues to engage with the Chamber as part of the 2019 Centennial Celebrations committee.

The Comox Valley Chamber is excited to host BC Chamber president and CEO Val Litwin as the AGM keynote speaker. Val is an accomplished businessman and served for three years as CEO of Whistler Chamber before becoming president and CEO of BC Chamber in 2016.
