Presley &Partners announced this month that Kathryn Jones has been promoted to the role of manager in the firm, effective immediately.

Promoting Jones, a chartered professional accountant who has been with the firm since 2011, was an easy decision for the partners in the firm.

“We’ve known from the very beginning that Kathryn was something special,” said Colleen Ellison, a partner with Presley &Partners. “She has always taken on increasingly more challenging projects, successfully seeing them through to completion and to the benefit of clients. She’s eager to learn more and uses what she gleans to provide strategic insights to those she works with. Each person who has worked with her, client and firm team member alike, has only good things to say of their experience.”

A known and recognized name in the area, Jones has also recently been honoured on the Vancouver Island Business Top 20 Under 40 list, which recognizes outstanding young professionals and community members who have accomplished great things through hard work and dedication.

Throughout her life, Jones has never been one to sit back and watch as others did the heavy lifting — literally, in some cases.

“Starting at the age of 12, I would spend my summers commercial fishing. I loved being on the water and putting in hard work, knowing my efforts translated into success for those I worked with. That same philosophy guides me as I work with clients today.”

At Presley &Partners, Jones focuses on providing strategic insights and accounting services to owner-managed businesses. She is also passionate about passing on her knowledge and experience to others in the firm through team trainings, and advising on more effective and efficient systems and processes.

“Kathryn is very deserving of this promotion,” said firm partner Brenda Kelm. “She works hard and is dedicated to our clients and our community. I expect she will continue to be a significant contributor to both for years to come.”
