Since COVID has put a stop to most fundraising activities, service clubs everywhere have been challenged with finding new ways of fundraising that respect safety requirements placed on everyone. The Monarch Lions Bottle Drive was their first attempt at something new and proved to be a great success thanks to so many. All funds raised through this venture go back to the community to support organizations and individuals in need.

The Comox Valley Monarch Lions Club thanks Encore Return-It Center in Courtenay, Jet FM 98.9 Radio, the Record, and all of the generous people in the Comox Valley who supported the bottle drive.

The Monarch Lions are looking forward to another bottle drive this summer. Save your cans, bottles and containers and watch for the date. In the meantime , your beverage containers may be donated to the Comox Valley Monarch Lions Club by dropping them off at the Return-It Depot on Puntledge in Courtenay or the Comox Return Centre on Anderton Road in Comox.
