There’s truly something for everyone at the 59th Annual Comox Nautical Days “Free Festival of Family Fun”.

Comox Nautical Days is proud to showcase the very best of Comox Valley’s entertainment community.

Kicking it all off is The Young Performers Showcase on Saturday morning featurin:; Ryks Davies, Riel, Aysha Guenther and The Caissies. Over the three days of the Festival dozens of musicians will entertain festivalgoers including: Big Little Lions, Ali Romanow Family Band, Brodie Dawson & Luc Blue Guthrie, Centrepiece Jazz, Larry Ayre, Ralph Barret 7, The Brass, Blues Report, Sue Medley and Friends, Time Well Wasted and the list goes on… and on.

All the perennial favourites are returning for the 59th annual Festival including: The Victor Simonson Dragon Boat Festival, the Comox Valley Record Bullhead Derby, the Home Hardware Build, Bail and Sail along with the Comox Nautical Days Vintage Car Show and ORCA Class Training Vessel Tours.

The Compass Adventure Gauntlet is also back guaranteeing lots of wet and wild action and you can try your luck at the Comox Valley Harbour Authority’s “Hole in One” competition.

Festivalgoers will also find a variety of displays and activities at the news ‘Sails’ buildings at Marina Park including: Comox Museum and Archives, Comox Fire and Rescue, Vancouver Island Visitor Centre as well as musical performances, yoga and Zumba.

The new Comox Rotary Splash Park and Playground along with several exciting rides and games are all part of the Nautical Days Kids Fun Zone.

Following the Nautical Days Parade on Monday, August 7th, Mayor Paul Ives and other dignitaries invite you to attend the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the Comox Marina Redevelopment Project and Comox

Rotary Splash Park and Playground as part of the BC Day Ceremony, beginning at noon.

While at the Festival take time to shop the 100+ craft booths and indulge your appetite at any or all of the fabulous foodies. Those “of an age” can enjoy a frosty beverage at the VI Society for Adaptive Snow Sports Bistro Garden.

Now, Comox Nautical Days would not be Nautical Days without the Quality Foods Festival of Lights Fireworks Extravaganza on Monday night. This year the QF fireworks show celebrates Canada 150 featuring the music of Canadian Juno Awards winners including Comox Valley’s own Sue Medley, Helen Austin, John “Johnny” Booth (Sweeney Todd) and Phil Camparelli (54-40).
