The Little Oysters Preschool at Beachcombers Academy is now offering a two-day per week summer preschool program.

“We are very pleased to now offer summer preschool, following on our wonderful school year,” said Zoe Lambert, operations manager of Beachcombers Education Society. “As staff, we have been reflecting on how Beachcombers Academy & Little Oysters Preschool was an island of normalcy this school year. Aside from the additional health and safety procedures, we were able to run an almost normal program during this pandemic year. We are tremendously grateful for this and we feel that it was such a gift to our students.”

The preschool continues to follow its COVID-19 health and safety policies in keeping with guidelines established by the Ministry of Children and Family Development and WorkSafe BC.

There are currently just three spots available for summer preschool which accepts children age 30 months to age 5.

The Little Oysters Preschool is located 20 minutes south of Courtenay. The ocean-view location provides a lovely outdoor environment and is walking distance to the beach. There are panoramic views of Baynes Sound from the playground and preschool deck which is used as an outdoor classroom.

The nature-inspired program at the Little Oysters Preschool includes early literacy and numeracy, story-telling, art, gardening, play-based learning, respect and kindness program and a joyful environment. For more information, visit www.BeachcombersSchool.ca
