WildSafeBC Provincial Coordinator Frank Ritcey will provide a live electric fencing demonstration Friday, June 22 in a free, family friendly event in Cumberland.

He will set up and electrify an electric fencing enclosure start to finish on the lawn of the OAP Hall at 2674 Dunsmuir Ave. There will be an information booth with games, activities and free materials.

Ritcey will explain why electric fencing is important for keeping wildlife away from attractants such as beehives, berries, gardens, chickens, backyards and fruit trees.

The event runs from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
