The annual awards ceremony for the Vancouver Island District RCMP took place in the Comox Valley on Oct. 5, at the Crown Isle Resort.

The yearly event recognizes RCMP officers who have served for 20, 25, 30 and 35 years, as well as members who receive certificates of appreciation and commendation from Commanding Officers.

Here are a few photos from Thursday’s ceremony, taken by Record reporter Scott Strasser.
