Sibling duo visiting Cumberland

Qristina and Quinn Bachand have added five Vancouver Island Music Award nominations to their already impressive resume.

The five Vancouver Island Music Award nominations are for Island Artist of the Year, Island Roots Album of the Year, Youth Artist of the Year, Music Video of the Year plus Island Producer of the Year (Adrian Dolan for Family).

This young brother and sister have been described as “the best act to come along in the world of Celtic music since... well, since anyone you care to mention.” (Penguin Eggs Magazine, Canada), “nothing short of amazing” (Living Tradition Magazine, U.K.), and “a revelation” (Folkworld, USA).

Since 2009 Qristina and Quinn have received rave reviews from fans and media alike and wowed audiences across Canada, the U.S. and Europe.

Qristina and Quinn have just finished a successful two-week Home Routes (www.homeroutes.ca) tour of the Yukon and are looking forward to their second Home Routes Tour, one that will see them performing close to home, all around Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

After launching the next leg March 6 in Victoria, the Bachands come to Cumberland this Sunday for a Home Routes concert. The tour concludes at the Vancouver CelticFest on March 16 and 17.
