Denman artist Leslie Dunsmore is hosting her 13th annual Garden of Lilies Art Show on July 8 and 9 from 10a.m. to 4 p.m.
The natural landscape is a recurring theme in Leslie’s paintings — from the tantalizing space between tree trunks, to the dramatic sculpture of mountains, to the vastness of prairie fields. Each canvas is full of bright colour, with crisp dramatic edges. The silence in each picture is palpable.
Dunsmore travels on long solo journeys each year, sketching and painting outdoors. Returning to her studio, she paints from autumn to late spring each year.
