SuperArtGirl Naomi TeWinkel and husband, Nico, are welcoming visitors to their magical 0.6-acre property in Comox, at 1526 Mulberry Lane (a.k.a. MulberryLand), for an Art Sale & Garden Show on Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This event promises to be an adventure, since a lot of imagination has gone into creating these inspired gardens, which are embellished with lots of colour from plants, flowers, and locally-made metal and glass creations. There are many whimsical elements you won’t want to miss, such as the storybook-like red door to the forest, a giant chessboard that makes players feel like pawns, and too many other charming touches to list.

Naomi’s original paintings, created in a Dr. Seuss style, will be hung from the tall fir trees on this majestic property. Visit her studio on the property to see more of her new artwork, using a blended medium, and adopt one of the last remaining huggable MulberryLand Mullies. Special touches have been added in the form of ingenious metal sculptures created by Naomi’s talented father, Steve Katovic.

Visitors will also get a sneak peak at the “Trill-Seuss-ium” – a 1975 Trillium Trailer the TeWinkels are in the middle of completely renovating and adding their own Seussical touches.

As well, you can take a self-guided tour of the award-winning MulberryLand Guest House, paint a “joy rock” that will be released into nature and bring joy to those who see it, design your own button, and enjoy discovering the magic that makes MulberryLand such a blissful place.

One thing is for sure, in the words of Dr. Seuss, everyone will leave this remarkable place saying, “And to think that I saw it on Mulberry Street.”
