Man sought by RCMP after knifepoint robbery in Courtenay

The Comox Valley RCMP are seeking information relating to an armed robbery May 25 just before 10 a.m.

An employee from the Iconic store on Fifth Street in Courtenay reported being accosted while opening the business. The male suspect followed the employee into the business, produced a knife and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The male is described as being Caucasian, five feet eight inches to six feet tall, in his mid 30s, scruffy face, lighter-coloured curly hair, wearing a red ball cap, cargo pants and a black hoodie.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321. To remain anonymous, you can call
