Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce award nominees announced

The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce announces this year's nominees.

The CVCC has been honouring businesses leaders and extraordinary individuals with achievement awards since 1974. While the award categories have changed over the years, the one thing that has remained a constant is the high caliber of award nominees and recipients.

The Annual Community Awards presentation and dinner will be held at the Florence Filberg Centre on Sat. Jan. 28 at 6 p.m.

With Tony Parsons of CHEK TV as master of ceremonies, this year's theme will be 'Hats off to Leadership.'

There will be a champagne reception sponsored by Kingfisher Oceanside Resort & Spa, appetizers sponsored by Flying Canoe West Coast Pub, live and silent auctions with 50 per cent of proceeds going to the Comox Valley Food Bank, draws, a Rotary no-host bar, an entertaining audio-visual presentation featuring a compilation of past recipients, and a four-course gourmet meal catered by the new Westerly Catering Company.

Complimentary safe rides home will be offered by Ambassador Shuttle Service.
