Comox Valley public speaking competition called off due to teacher strike

The School District 71 public speaking competition has been postponed due to the strike by BC Teachers' federation members.
The districtwide competition was scheduled for March 7 at North Island College's Comox Valley campus.
A Labour Relations Board ruling allowed teachers to fully withdraw services March 5 to 7.
