Comox Valley Record cartoonist finalist for national award

Once again, Comox Valley Record freelance editorial cartoonist Bob Castle is a finalist for a national award.
Castle, one of three people in the running for a Canadian Community Newspaper Association award, is a previous national and provincial award winner.
The Record was awarded a blue ribbon in the general excellence category for newspapers with a circulation between 12,500 and 24,999. A blue ribbon recognizes that a newspaper has achieved a certain standard of quality. Thirteen other papers earned blue ribbons in the same circulation category.
Award recipients will be announced April 26 in Toronto.
