Actress Cattrall will be inducted onto Comox Valley Walk of Achievement
The Comox Valley Walk of Achievement will induct actress, writer and producer Kim Cattrall on May 19 at 1 p.m.
The presentation ceremony will take place either at the Native Sons Hall or the nearby Sid Williams Plaza in Courtenay, depending on the weather. The plaque will be unveiled at the Sid plaza following the ceremony.
Cattrall will be involved in other events during the previous week.
The Golden Globe award winner was born in Liverpool, moving with her family to Courtenay when she was an infant. She returned to England at 11, she returned to England, coming back to Canada to finish secondary school.
She is best known for her role as Samantha Jones on the TV series Sex and the City.
Previous Walk of Achievement inductees include radio announcer Red Robinson, scientist John Leung, MLA Stan Hagen and author Jack Hodgins.
