Police investigating reported attempted abduction of girl at CFB Comox

CFB Comox military police and the RCMP are investigating a report of an attempted abduction of a girl at the base.

It’s reported that military police were told Friday evening that two men suspiciously approached a nine-year-old girl who was riding her bike from the Glacier Gardens Arena and Recreation Centre late in the afternoon.

The girl reportedly rode home and told her mother, who contacted military police.

The girl described one of the men as being about 50, clean-shaven with a scar on his left cheek. He wore jeans and a navy blue T-shirt.

His passenger has blond hair, a moustache, a small scar under his lip and a star tattoo on the left side of his neck. He wore blue jeans and a black T-shirt.

Their vehicle was described as a blue cargo-style Chevrolet Astro Van with windows on the rear doors and panels on the sides.
