THRIFTY FOODS CROWN ISLE store manager Jeff Ackinclose, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation's Marianne Woodrow and Meghan Liddle and Thrifty Foods Courtenay store manager Andy Carter proudly display a cheque for $6,796 for St. Joseph's General Hospital Foundation. Thrifty Foods' Pumpkins for Charity raised $5,796 this year — thanks to a special $2 per pumpkin donation from the company coinciding with the opening of the Crown Isle location in Courtenay — plus $1,000 from the Pumpkin Photos Contest on Facebook.
