Comox Valley NDP holding pre-election workshop this Sunday
With just three months to go until the next general election in B.C., the Comox Valley NDP is inviting friends and supporters, both old and new, to join them for a volunteer workshop this Sunday.
This workshop is a great opportunity for interested local volunteers to come together and learn all about action 'behind the scenes' in an election campaign. This training will help participants to develop the skills and confidence to be part of the campaign to elect Kassandra Dycke as the new NDP MLA for the Comox Valley on May 15.
The Comox Valley NDP election planning committee extends a warm invitation to volunteers of all ages interested in lending their time and energy to be part of exciting “change for the better” in B.C.
“The B.C. NDP is a place where people come together to work for a better future — one where social and economic justice are the guiding principles," the committee says in a press release. "As social democrats we believe in a balanced and responsible approach to government, so that people can enjoy a strong economy, healthy communities, and a clean, sustainable environment.
“Being a New Democrats is about working together to make sure that the needs and aspirations of ordinary people — in British Columbia and across Canada — are effectively represented in the political process.”
Pre-registration for this workshop at the Native Sons Hall from noon to 4 is requested by calling 250-334-3434 or e-mailing email@example.com before end of day Feb. 15. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
