One Billion Rising

Despite the weather, Comox Valley residents gathered at the Sid Williams Theatre plaza Thursday afternoon for a day of action — V-Day — to end violence against women and girls — One Billion Rising. Roberta Meilleur helped lead participants through a dance throughout the courtyard. The movement began through playwright/founder Eve Ensler (The Vagina Monologues).
