Hit-and-run leads sought

At approximately 2 a.m. Saturday morning (Friday night) a large vehicle, likely red in colour, smashed through three front yards on Northland Place in Courtenay, taking out a garbage stand, a tree, and ramming a Toyota Tacoma with enough force to push the truck five feet along a driveway.

Skid-marks show nine-inch wide tires and contact with the Tacoma was roughly 40 inches from the ground.

Damage to the vehicle will include a broken corner light, (likely front left)  as some of the residual plastic was found at the scene.

 

 

 

If anyone has any information on this hit-and-run, please contact the Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321 and refer to File # 14-7927.
