Blessing of the dogs Saturday

St. John the Divine Anglican Church will hold a blessing of the dogs on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. in the church’s side fenced yard (579–Fifth St., Courtenay).

The event will take place on the feast day of St. Roch, the patron saint of dogs. Everyone welcome to attend, dogs should be on leashes. Plenty of water will be provided for the dogs, as well as, lemonade for everyone else.

Donations are welcome and will be given to the Comox Valley SPCA.
