Staff at the I-HOS Gallery are evaluating their inventory following a theft sometime overnight Tuesday.

Manager Ramona Johnson said a hole was cut in the rear of the building from the outside, and workers came into the gallery - located at 3310 Comox Road - to find the hole and merchandise missing in their storage room.

Johnson added whoever broke into the business didn’t enter into the gallery space, as the alarm was not activated.

Staff was assessing inventory Tuesday afternoon to determine how much was stolen, and the gallery hopes to re-open Wednesday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP and cite file number 2017-17459.
