Comox Valley RCMP investigating early morning robbery at convenience store

On Friday, April 12, at approximately 4:35 a.m. the Comox Valley RCMP received a report of a robbery at a business on the 500-block of Ryan Road in Courtenay.

On Friday, April 12, at approximately 4:35 a.m. the Comox Valley RCMP received a report of a robbery at a business on the 500-block of Ryan Road in Courtenay.

Frontline police officers quickly went to the scene and surrounding area to search for the suspect who fled prior to police arrival.

The suspect had his face covered and was wearing a high visibility jacket. He is described as tall, thin build, and walked with a slight hunch and his head tilted sideways.

Comox Valley RCMP Major Crime Unit is continuing to gather evidence in the area with the assistance of the Comox Valley RCMP Bike Unit and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section.
