Do you like having fun and feeling good? Do you enjoy delicious food? If so, you may enjoy the Feel Good Gala on Saturday, June 3 at the beautifully renovated and decorated Native Sons Hall.

You will be able to wander around the silent auction. There will be an exciting array of the useful and the beautiful. You can settle down with a drink from the cash bar and listen to soothing and grooving music. At 6 p.m. you will be treated to a

sumptuous buffet, including a vegetarian option, catered by the talented Tria and her crew.

Four years ago, Kelsey Molz went off to volunteer in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa. She has not been the same since. This dynamic young Valley woman, while completing her university degree, has founded and funded a learning centre for disadvantaged children and youth in Kawangware Kenya. They have a preschool and kindergarten with 102 children, and 97 children at elementary and secondary Schools, through individual sponsorships from Canada, Australia

and Norway.

So this is where the Win-Win Feel Good Gala comes in. You get a great evening, a meal without doing the dishes, music and fun for only $40, and the kids in Kenya get a hand up. There will even be a balloon pop.

You will also get to see the kids and their families via digital magic. What could be better than that? This is Little Ray of Hope for Children’s third gala, and Kelsey and her partner Jeremy are grateful for the support they have received to date. The power of one usually involves a community. It is so inspiring to see our Valley young people being the difference that the world needs.

If you are a business or individual who would like to donate a silent auction item, contact Kelsey at 250 650-2579 or Kelsey_Molz@lrohfc.com. You can buy tickets at www.lrohfc.com or at Benjamin Moore House of Colour, 249 5th St., Courtenay, or UB Diving at 2440 Cliffe Ave.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and supper is at 6 p.m.

All funds raised will support the children and their families.

Bring your friends to the Feel Good Gala!
