A fire caused extensive damage to a fifth wheel trailer, car and home at a property on Laurel Crescent in Bowser on Jan. 13.

There were three occupants in the house when the fire started around 6:45 p.m. but all escaped uninjured.

Fire crews arrived on scene to find the trailer and vehicle fully engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading across the side of the adjacent home to the second floor and attic.

“The second floor of the home was destroyed as well,” said Bow Horn Bay Volunteer Fire Department chief Geoff Macintosh.

The lower floor of the house also received extensive water damage,

Macintosh said three fire departments assisted with the fire, Bow Horn Bay, Dashwood Volunteer Fire Department and Deep Bay Volunteer Fire Department, and that it took about two hours to extinguish the flames.

The cause of fire is still under investigation.
