No injuries in early morning Comox car fire

Comox firefighters responded to an early morning vehicle fire Monday near the corner of Anderton and Guthrie roads.

Comox firefighters responded to an early morning vehicle fire Monday near the corner of Anderton and Guthrie roads.

A grey pickup truck pulled into the entranceway to the Highland Village Shopping Centre closest to the TD Bank building when it caught on fire.

Comox Fire Rescue Chief Gord Schreiner said the department responded to the vehicle fire but there were no injuries involved with the incident.

According to reports, smoke could be seen throughout the Valley and across the water to Royston.
