One person died in a head-on crash near Campbell River on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 28.
A person had to be cut out of a vehicle by Campbell River firefighters after the accident, which happened in the McGimpsey Road area just south of the city.
Highway 19A was closed in both directions, from 15 kilometres north of Hamm Road to 15 km south of Campbell River. Just before 6 p.m., Drive B.C. reported that the road had been re-opened.
RCMP are expected to provide an update later today (Monday).
