The Town of Comox has announced the selection of its new recreation director, Ted Hagmeier.
Mr. Hagmeier will be responsible for the management and supervision of the programs and services of the Town of Comox Community Centre and will work with partners to ensure that sport, recreation, leisure and the interests of Comox residents are met.
Hagmeier is no stranger to the Town of Comox Community Centre, in fact, he has been with the Town of Comox since the latter part of 2014 when he was hired in the capacity of recreation supervisor. Hagmeier has a wealth of recreational experience and he has proven himself capable to fill the position of recreation director, a position that became available due to the recent retirement of our former Recreation Director, Ms. Mandy Johns.
“We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to fill this position from within our organization and retain such a high caliber professional,” said chief administrative officer Richard Kanigan said. “Ted’s recreational background, technical skills, leadership style and history with our organization will serve our community well and we wish him success as he assumes the responsibilities of this position with the Town.”
