A longtime resident of the Comox Valley, Aileen worked for many years as the office manager at Fields Sawmill. Born on January 18, 1923, Aileen passed away peacefully on November 18, 2003 at Echo Village Care Facility in Port Alberni. Aileen will be dearly missed by her family: husband Don; son Brian (Pam) and granddaughters Rebecca and Emily; son Bob (Marian) and granddaughter Amelia; daughter Sharon (Randy) and granddaughter Katie; brothers: Syd (Evelyn) and Dem (Marjorie), as well as many family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 21st at 11:30 AM, in the Bowen Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo. In lieu of flowers, donations in Aileen’s memory to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Fund of B.C. would be appreciated.
