Albert William Hope
1928 – 2009
Albert William Hope passed away on December 5, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox, BC. He was born in Battersea, London, England on December 11, 1928.
He served in the R.A.F. working in a control tower. He moved with his family in 1966 to Canada later buying a small business in the gulf islands. From there he moved to Cortes, building his own house there. After a few years he moved to Courtenay and joined the Barbershop choir where they entertained at the hospital and nursing homes.
Predeceased by his sister Joyce (Bob) and sister in law Audrey.
He is survived by his brother Cyril; sons Geoff (Dorita) and Jeremy (Leslie); grandchildren: Holly, Jerimiah, Adam and Cheyenne.
A celebration of Albert’s life will be held in January 2010. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
