1919 ~ 2004

Angus went to be with his Lord on Sunday, November 8th, 2004. He was visiting with his son Rod, in San Dimas, California and passed away peacefully in his sleep.

He was predeceased by his parents Malcolm and Isabella MacRitchie and his brother Peter.

He is survived by his wife Ruth (Germany), his son Rod, granddaughter Julie (Daniel), great-granddaughter Miranda, his grandson Matthew (Kristin), great-grandson Cade, all of California, his sister Kay MacBeth of Comox, nieces and nephews of Comox and Toronto, and many other relatives.

Like many other young men at the time, Mac joined the Army during the Second World War, and retired a Captain in R.C.A.S.C. After the war he moved to California and then to Nevada where he was employed by the U.S. Dept. of Defense, and spent time in 26 countries in the 25 years he was in their employ.

After his retirement he started spending part of each year in Comox and California and had a lot of happy times with his families in both places.

He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends, as well as his extended family Mike and Zena Ware, and all the wonderful people of the Courtenay Foursquare Gospel Church.

A Memorial Service for “Mac” will be held on FRIDAY, December 3rd, at 3:00 p.m. in the Courtenay Foursquare Gospel Church, Burgess Road, Courtenay, B.C. Pastor Scott Gaglardi officiating.
