DAUNCEY

Ann Christine

1918 - 2007

Ann passed away peacefully on August 22, 2007 at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her loving son, Monte (Moira) of Kamloops, two grandchildren Denise (Steve), Douglas, two great-grandchildren Kealan and Nicola, one brother Dick (Daphne) Piket of Calgary and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by three step-grandchildren Amy (Dusty), Elaine (Jeremy), Craig (Sarah), and four step-great grandchildren Abigail, Hudson, Jocelyn, and Sophia. Predeceased by her husband, Sid, two infant sons Robbie and Dougie, six brothers and two sisters.

Ann was born in Herbert, Saskatchewan in 1918. She moved to Vancouver as a young girl and there she met, and later married, her husband Sid. Together, they moved to Vancouver Island where they built their dream-home, established a meat and grocery business and raised their son Monte. Although Ann and Sid worked very hard to build up their business, they also took time to enjoy many recreational activities. Ann loved to golf, ski and go camping. She enjoyed playing bridge and she also completed many intricate needlework projects. Although their hearts were always in the Comox Valley, she and Sid moved to Kelowna in their later years. After Sid’s passing, Ann moved to Kamloops to be closer to her cherished family. She will be sadly missed.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the dedicated staff of the Kamloops Seniors Village for the compassionate care given to Ann. Also special thanks to Dr. Hamilton for his care and attention. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 27th at 2:00 pm at the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops with Pastor Mary WidMer officating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
