BOURASSA - Anna, passed away peacefully at Laurel Lodge in Courtenay, B.C. on Monday, the 28th of January. She is survived by her husband Ed (Edward) Bourassa, son G. Charles Huether, daughter Nancy Huether (Rob Elliott), step sons Jamie and Glenn Parkin, step daughter Jan Short and grandchildren.

Anna was born on April 5, 1944 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan and raised in Granum and Red Deer, Alberta. She spent time in Beamsville and St. Catharines Ontario, Calgary Alberta, and most recently in the Comox Valley, British Columbia.

Over the past seven years, Anna became a well-known business woman in the Comox Valley during her time as the President/Owner of Billy D's Pub & Bistro. She was a strong community supporter for both the arts and various local charities including The United Way, Habitat for Humanity and YANA.

A huge and heartfelt "Thank You" goes out to Dr. Douglas Anderson, Dr. Kimberly of Vancouver Island Oncology, the Vancouver Island RN Nursing staff, and finally the wonderful staff at Laurel Lodge.

A special thanks to Jennifer Murphy (Anna's bar manager and friend), and the staff of Billy D's.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, the 3rd of February at Billy D's Pub & Bistro, 268 5th Street, Courtenay, British Columbia. Donations may be made to the Vancouver Island, B.C., Cancer Society.
