Anna Paton passed away on September 27th, 2005 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, B.C. from the effects of having suffered a massive stroke. She was predeceased by her son Charles, her parents Charles and Alma Pedersen and her sister Thora Gould. Anna is survived and will be sadly missed by her husband Doug Paton, her sons; Joel (Holly) of Courtenay and Bob (Denise) of Courtenay, her daughters; Mary (Al) Hopwood of Courtenay, Jane (John) Forin of Courtenay and Peggy (Harvey) Paton of Merritt, B.C., her grandchildren; Doug, Wayne, Jody, Jessica, Sean, Laura, John, Kathy, Andrew, Anna, Marnie, Sally, Cole and Jillian, her great grandchildren; Justin, Nikolai, Brandon, Aaron, Brett, Tyler and Aidan, her sisters; Mary (Al) Cartlidge of Selkirk, Man. and Alice (Dave) Chamley of S. She contributed during W.W.II in Fort William, Ontario as a “Rosie the Riveter.” Anna enjoyed reading and listening to music. Her door was always open to family and friends - she had a real interest in others, keeping track of birthdays, anniversaries etc. and she always rooted for the underdog. She will be greatly missed by all. Arrangements entrusted to COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD. No service at her request.
