Arthur Joseph Annand, born in a pioneer family December 2nd, 1922 in Comox, died December 4th, 2002 at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Betty. Also survived by his daughter Nancy (Mike) O’Neill, son Danny (Karen), 4 granddaughters and 2 great-granddaughters, sister Irene Webber, sister-in-law Iris Annand and numerous relatives and friends. Art was predeceased by his sisters Evelyn and Hazel and brothers Alex and Gordon. Art was a World War II veteran and spent most of his life as a faller in the valley. Art loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He was a loving husband, father and Bop-Bop. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 14th, 2002 at 2:00 pm from the CHAPEL OF PIERCY’S FUNERAL HOME, 440 England Avenue with a reception to follow in PIERCY’S GLACIER TEA ROOM. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made in Art’s name to Y.A.N.A. PIERCY’S FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORIUM have been entrusted with arrangements.
