Barb passed away at St. Joseph's Extended Care January 6, 2009. She was born in Chilliwack, B.C. and was predeceased by her parents Robert (Bob)and Loretta (Toots) Baker. Survived by her long time companion Barb Matthews; brother Robert Barry (Elaine) Baker, nephew Dustan Baker (Lisa), 4 great nieces and nephews; Robyn Baker (Gary), 3 great nieces & nephew; and her aunt Sylvia (John) and one cousin Terry. Close friend Heather (Ed) and little Olivia of North Vancouver, BC plus many friends.

Barb worked as an R.N. in various communities in Vancouver, B.C., was an avid animal lover and volunteered at the S.P.C.A.

We would like to thank all the staff at E.C.U. and the many doctors who attended, especially Dr. Tancon. Also the support staff and volunteers from the local hospice who were with her during her last peaceful moments. Her family was with her most every day of her lengthy illness.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at her home at 4088 Carey Place, Royston, B.C. between 2:00 - 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the S.P.C.A. would be deeply appreciated.
