Barbara Doris Ada McDonald (nee: Weir) passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2007. Lovingly survived by Jack, her husband of 54 years; children: Diana (Don) Risling, Sandra, John, James (Heather) and Paul (Paulina); grandchildren: Robert, Chelsea, Morgan, Spencer, Nicholas, Matias, Jacob, Tomas and Lucas; also by her first great-grandchild Isaiah. She is also survived by: Bruce and Betty Davidson, Peter and Liv Fanning, sister-in-law and dear friend Beverly Black and many other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her mother Frances Reid Griggs.
A Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Piercy’s – Mt. Washington Funeral Home, Courtenay, BC.
