DALE, William Arthur (Bill)
1938 — 2005
Bill was born November 16th, 1938 and passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 26th, 2005 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. Bill taught school in the Comox Valley from 1964 through 1999, teaching mathematics, computer science and biology. He began his career at Courtenay High School, then G.P. Vanier and finally at Courtenay Junior Secondary until his retirement. Bill was an active member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Comox. He was predeceased by his loving wife Helen in 2001, and parents William and Edna. Bill will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children Cynthia of Victoria, Laurie of California and Bill Jr. (Nancy) of Toronto, grandchildren Stephanie and Maxwell, good friend and companion Marilyn Clements. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 218 Church St., with Father Jim Lyster officiating, with interment to follow beside his wife at Courtenay Civic Cemetery. Donations can be made as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers to the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Following the interment a reception will be held in the church hall. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Piercy’s Funeral Home.
