Bill

23 May 1935 – 19 July 2008

Bill died peacefully at the very end – but still fought hard until the last hour. He fought hard all his life to live his life to the fullest, which he certainly did!

He leaves his wife and friend of 41 years, Maureen; sons: William of Vernon, BC, Tim of Comox, Robert of Wetaskiwin, AB and daughter, Kathy Peladeu of Trenton, ON. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Bill was predeceased by an infant daughter, Patricia and son, Christopher.

Bill’s love was for his family and Para Rescue. He spent 27 years in the military, mostly as a SAR Tech, which remained in his heart always. After his retirement, he worked 19 years for BC Ferries. He loved to fish and hunt but more than all, he loved to fly free in the sky (sky diving). He had made almost 3000 parachute jumps until the last 10 years when he had to stop due to illness and multiple injuries.

His many friends and family will never forget him. We will always miss and love him.

Our thanks to Dr. J. Simice (Comox) and to the organ transplant association and to our friends.

A service will be held at the RC Legion, Br. 26, Comox on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 1:00 pm.

Please fill out your organ transplant card so “that others may live”. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Para Rescue Ass’n, Box 3816, Courtenay, BC V9N 7P2.
