Broadhead - Brenda Margaret aged 80, of Courtenay, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, December 29th, 2001. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband Jim; sons: Thomas (Connie) and James (Kay); daughter Valerie Morrison (Derek); 6 grandsons and 1 grand-daughter; sister Joyce Welsh and her nieces and nephews. Brenda loved her home, her family and her garden and was well-known for the beautiful flowers she raised. She was an ardent collector of family keepsakes and as a longtime member of the Anglican Church, found great comfort and strength in her daily bible readings. A Service of Remembrance was held on Thursday, January 3rd from the Church of St. John The Divine with Father John Lancaster officiating, followed by Interment in St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery at a later date.
