In Loving Memory of Bruce Mackinnon

Bruce Albert James

Born January 15, 1957 in Brantford, Ontario passed away March 1, 2003 in Langley, B.C., with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Despite this he always had a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eye and joke or witty comment to share with all.

Bruce will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife, Elsie; daughters, Angela and Heather; Mother, Norma Bourne (Frank), brother Ron (Deb); and sisters Janice (Ed) and Susan (Rory) as well as numerous nieces and nephews, many relatives, friends, business associates and employees.

Bruce was an extremely devoted, loving and caring husband and father and found joy in his life playing golf and hockey, fishing, playing the bagpipes, and spending time around family and friends.

Bruce attended Point Grey High School in Vancouver and began his career with Domtar in 1975, which led to various positions in Kamloops, Kelowna and Victoria. In 1993 he began working for Hub City Supplies (the Winroc Corp.) in Courtenay and Nanaimo and in 2001 moved to Langley and became General Manager for the Lower Mainland. He was very dedicated and hardworking and loved new challenges.

Everyone who knew Bruce was touched by his love, kindness and unique sense of humour. Although Bruce has left us for now, we each have special memories of him that will keep him alive in our hearts forever.

Please join us in a Celebration of Bruce’s Life on Monday, March 10, 2003 at 1:30 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home at 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley, B.C.; reception to follow.
