LIND - Sunday, July 19, 2009, Bryan Peter Lind succumbed to his illness at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, B.C. Though Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April 2008 & given a poor prognosis he went at it with a positive attitude and we were blessed with 16 months of quality time. While we knew someday it would - ‘the end’ seemed to come suddenly – thankfully for his sake it was quick, & merciful with his family by his side.
Bryan was born in Camrose, Alberta May 12, 1930 – his growing years were spent between St. Albert, Alta & Kyuquot & Port Alberni on Vancouver Island. He started his working years in the Lumber Industry in Port Alberni.
Dad joined the RCAF in 1950 - after 20 years of serving in Canada & Europe he returned to the forest industry. He retired as a Lumber Inspector from Tahsis in 1990 - he and Mom moved to the Comox Valley where his passion for golf was born.
Bryan was predeceased by his Father & Mother – Martin & Eleanor Lind & his sister, Clarice Pownall. He leaves to mourn the love of his life, his wife Dorothy; 5 sons – Ian (Carol), Kevin (Carrie), Carl (Carole), Eric (Patti), Andy (Heidi); & his daughter Kathy Seaker (Greg). He will also be missed by his 3 closest grandchildren Shannon, Shayne, & Bryan; his 102 year old Auntie Kissa; his sister Doris Olstad (Bud); many nieces, nephews, cousins, & very dear friends.

Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, July 25th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm @ the Courtenay Legion, 367 Cliffe Avenue.
