LARSEN - Carl

February 17, 1930 - December 6, 2008

It is with so much sadness that we announce the passing of a dear man, our father Carl Larsen.

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark February 17, 1930, he immigrated to Alberta in 1952 and continued his masonry trade in Edmonton. He met and married the love of his life, Joan, His four children were born, then the decision to relocate his young family was made to move to beautiful B.C.

They first resided in Cumberland in 1967, then moved to Comox after Carl (Dad) built the twisted chimney in their new home. Family was of the utmost importance to him. He shared his love of music with the family by playing both the accordion and organ for the many singsongs enjoyed by all. He was predeceased by daughter Roni (1987) and wife Joan (1993), and is survived by daughters Carla (Jim), Coleen (Ger), son Barry (Michelle), 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Never a bad thing to say about anyone, he had such a special way with people. He will be remembered for the numerous fireplaces and brickwork in the Comox Valley. Thanks to the Edgett Mews Strata tenants for making his last 10 years living there as manager enjoyable and interesting.

We're sure he's already in Heaven checking out the winning casino he was always sure he'd find. Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.

Miss you terribly Dad!
