Charles Ambrose (Chuck)
October 13, 1931 - March 1, 2009
Very much loved and never to be forgotten, Chuck said goodbye to his loving family Sunday morning after a brief illness. He was a very caring person, the best husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend that anyone could ask for. Chuck touched the lives of his family and all those he met in a special way.
Chuck has been reunited with Nelly, the love of his life, his beloved daughter Col, sisters Dot and Marg and brother Red. He has left many happy memories with all who knew him. He will be truly missed by his brother Stewart, daughter Lori (Peter), son-in-law Murray, grandchildren Sarah, Laura, Cass, Alex and Sam, as well as his much loved nieces, nephews, in-laws and, of course, his dog Duke.
Chuck worked for BC Highways for 32 years before retirement. Long involved with Kitty Coleman Park, Chuck spent his retirement years serving on the board. He also devoted much of his time to local politics, following the Canucks, and spending time with the coffee gang down at Tim Horton's. Always a gambling man, Chuck will be remembered for his love of life, his quick laugh, his 'skills' at cribbage and his desire to help those in need.
