Bob was born on October 17th, 1945 in Vermilion, Alberta and went to be with the Lord on May 25th, 2006 at the age of 60.
Bob was predeceased by his father John Gordon Filgate in 1984, by his mother Alice Mae Filgate (nee: Parker) in 1974 and will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Teresa; daughter Barbara (Roderick) Cobham; son Scott; grandchildren: Melissa and Sarah. He will also be missed by his 3 brothers: John (Marie) of Nanaimo, BC, Stan (Marilyn) of Egremont, AB., and George (Julie) of Vernon, BC. A Memorial Service to celebrate Bob’s life will take place at 1:30pm on Wednesday, May 31st at Comox Pentecostal Church, 1919 Guthrie Rd., Comox with Pastor Dave Koleba officiating. Donations can be made as an expression of sympathy to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Memorial Service and Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Piercy’s / Mt. Washington Funeral Home and Crematorium.
