Claude has reached his final destination in this world after a long and interesting journey through life. This gentle and quiet man touched all who met him and he will be missed by many.
He faced the challenges in his life with a fortitude and grace that was exceptional and an inspiration to all. He was affectionately known by the young people in his life as “The Unstoppable Old Man” as he pursued his purposes and overcame adversity with a single-minded determination.
He loved animals and children. Both would bring an instant smile and a nod of approval. He passed away in the company of some of his animal friends.
A nod and a wave to you Claude, from all your friends, as you go on your way. It is a privilege to have known you.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Piercy's Mt. Washington Funeral Home, 440 England Ave., Courtenay, BC.
