DORAN, Cornelia “Corrie”
It is with deep sadness that the family of Corrie Doran announces her passing on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the age of 90.
Corrie will be lovingly remembered by her children Diana (Doug) Sinclair, Donna (Mike) Tickner and Sheila; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister Wilma; brother Gerrit; as well as many nieces and nephews in Holland, Australia, United States and throughout Canada.
Corrie was predeceased by her son Jim in 1993 and husband Stanley in 2005. Corrie emigrated from Holland in 1947. She married Stanley on July 30th. They met during the liberation of Holland where he served with the Canadian Army. She was always known for having a big heart. When friends or family were not feeling well, she would bring soup. Her greatest loves were her family and friends at the Kingdom Hall.
Family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Oceanview for the wonderful care that Corrie received over the years. A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Dingwall Road in Courtenay.
