Tanya Austin and Rick Helmer regret to announce the death of their son Dean, age 23. He leaves behind his brothers Liam, David, and Murray, his parents and extended family and many friends. Dean was born in Comox and lived his whole life with enthusiasm, on the beaches and mountains and in the music of the Comox Valley. His energy, warm heart and free spirit will be deeply missed. We truly appreciate the care and support he received from so many during his final illness. Dean was well loved.
There will be a gathering in remembrance of Dean at 4:00pm Saturday, February 17 at D’esterre House in Comox.
