MacBETH
Donald Malcolm
June 12, 1947 - March 4, 2009
It is with great sorrow that we announce that Don passed away suddenly at St. Joseph's Hospital, Comox after a lengthy illness.
Don was predeceased by his father, Ross and uncle, Gus.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Alison; sons: Donald, Jr. and Calum; daughters: Larissa and Stacey (Pat); mother, Kay; sister, Kerry (John), Christin, Michael and Julie. He is also survived by mother, Prue Legge; family and friends in England; cousin, Rod in California; Auntie Thelma and David and Wendy in Vancouver.
Don was born in Edmonton and lived in London, Ont. and Winnipeg before the family moved to the Comox Valley.
Don worked at Supervalue in Comox, Courtenay and Campbell River. He also worked as a commercial fisherman and drywaller.
His loves were his family, cars (especially his ’56 Chevy), fishing, photography and sports of all kinds. He played hockey and baseball in various leagues when he was younger. He took great pleasure in telling stories of his past experiences!
The family invites all friends to a Celebration of Don’s life at the Northgate Fourquare church, Burgess Road, Courtenay on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Comox Valley Therapeutic Riding society would be appreciated.
