Kirk, “Daisy Donalda Lucille (nee: Proby)
Born in Brandon, Manitoba on Sept. 17,1920, gone to be with Harold Dec. 23, 2009. Finally too tired to go on, having led an active life and living most of her life in the family home in Victoria, BC, she leaves her three sons, Dick, Bob and Tom; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren to carry on with life. After Dad’s passing in 1983, Mum volunteered at the Royal Jubilee Hospice for many years, holding many peoples hands and giving words of comfort to the dying and to the walking groups of the survivors. Her teas with homemade cookies and her special brownies are a legend still. Her real highlight was when the Lieutenant-Governor of BC bestowed a special award at his residence to honor her dedication to being a true volunteer. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
